Cross-agency Assistive Technology Network (CATN) Discussion

When:  Jul 14, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM (AEDT)

Who is invited?

All are welcome to come and join us for a Cross-agency Assistive Technology Network Discussion.

Purpose of the Discussion

To support and share with each other what assistive technology (eg   hardware, software, peripherals, drivers) our government agencies are currently using to support staff with disabilities so that we can effectively provide staff with the tools required to improve and create inclusive and supportive workplaces.

What is assistive technology?

Assistive technology refers to any device, hardware, software, or equipment that is designed to help people with disabilities to perform tasks. It can help people with various disabilities, including physical, sensory, cognitive, and developmental disabilities, to communicate, learn, work, and live more independently. Assistive technology can include devices and tools, such as screen readers, speech recognition software, hearing aids, electronic desks to accommodate wheelchairs, mobility aids, communication aids, and environmental control systems. Assistive technology can enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities by helping them to overcome barriers and participate in society.
