What is a dynamic and interactive usability conversation session?

It is a safe place to come together and talk about accessibility. It means conversations are open-ended. This way participants gain a deeper understanding of shared experiences, needs, behaviours, and attitudes related to the discussion topic.

Why should you attend?

You should attend this event if you:

  • Care about accessibility and want to connect with others
  • Have a lived disability and want to meet others in a supportive environment
  • Have a genuine interest in accessibility and want to make workplaces more accessible
  • Are a HR Professional, UX designer, Diversity champion and / or Assistive Technology Expert or have an interest in connecting with others
  • Want to learn about key accessibility issues

What is the session covering?

An introduction and meeting hosted by the Leads of the Accessibility & Inclusion Community and their roles.

Group discussion/breakout areas covering the following topics:

  • Assistive technology tools
  • Accessibility Training
  • Accessible and inclusive workplaces
  • Issues impacting why we have a low employment rate of people with disabilities
  • The diverse needs of people with disabilities and responsibilities to support these needs
