Hello Dale, and thank you for that information.
Yes, I have read with interest the Domain and Capability Model when it was first released ,and we were looking to reference it within state agencies.
Agree with the idea of Australian architecture enabling cross jurisdiction data exchange, and some years ago I was working with Austroads around a National ITS Architecture for smart vehicle and road interoperability. I would love to see this concept more broadly promoted as citizens interact with govt on different levels day to day, from Medicare, to their school, to their bus timetable. Ultimately a goal of shared architecture is to make that experience as smooth as possible.
Regarding my question on the reference models. They have always been a useful starting point to map what an agency does, especially the Services to Citizens, and Management of Govt Resources domains. I have also recently referenced AGIFT to encourage discussion with local government around services and the possibility of shared capability and solutions. I would be interested in the future of such reference models, and participating in activities to refresh and republish them under the new AGA, if that is on the cards.
Thanks again!

Subject: AGA Reference Models (2011), will they return? Also, AGA applicability to other levels of govt?
Good afternoon Nicole - the AGA currently contains architecture that is primarily relevant to the Commonwealth Government. However, the architecture information contained on the site can also benefit state and/ or territory agencies.
You'll see the AGA includes a Domain and Capability Model which can be use for AGA navigation purposes, and for checking how agency-specific frameworks (or ecosystem-specific frameworks) align with the DCM.
Architecture relating to data-sharing for example can have relevance to state and territory agencies where there is a requirement for data sharing between different levels of government.

Hello,
I am part of a team responsible for maintaining the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture Framework (QGEAF). I have previously found the AGA Reference Models (2011) really helpful when working with various state agencies and am keen to see if the new AGA will be revising and re-releasing these models in future?
I also recall documentation from a couple of years ago about the AGA being applicable at Federal, State, and Local government levels. I notice the wording on the new site is not as specific, would it be fair to interpret the scope of the AGA as Federal Government only? We in Qld would like to reference and leverage the great work from the DTA, but just want to make sure we interpret that applicability correctly before referring our stakeholders on to AGA guidance and material.
Thank you and kind regards,
